Balaton

On Saturday we took the train down to Balaton. Unfortunately we picked a super windy day to go (as you can see by the white caps). We made the best of it and as it turns out we met some friends that were only a couple miles away, also at the lake, for dinner.

Scarlett loooooves water

Lila looooves to sleep

Early Start

We started the weekend off early this afternoon with a couple rounds of bowling and McDonalds. Our friends invited us to join them and we couldn't resist. I heart Fridays

How cute are little kids bowling shoes...

Oh boy

Yay, Yay, Yay, Yay

Lots of fun all around

2 Months

Lila had her two month check up. She had to get some shots. I still don't know who it was harder for, her or me. I hate, hate to hear them cry from pain, it's so sad.

Because you're all dying to know here are her stats:

Weight: 11 lb 3 oz
Length: 24 in

*Lila is taller and weighs more than Scarlett did at 2 months

Things I don't want to Forget

When Scarlett wants to be picked up she says "Need me"

When she woke up from her nap today she immediately began telling me about what happened earlier today. This was her train of thought:

"church, bye-bye, mommy, daddy, baby, you (while pointing to herself, yeah she calls herself you, we are working on it :) D, pray, sing, house"

Whenever we go anywhere she has to announce who is going: mommy, baby, you...

I caught Scarlett the other day reading to Lila, it was so sweet. I tried to video it but by time I got back she had stopped. Sisters...I hope they stay sweet to each other

Jared has the most amazing palette. At a friends house a couple weeks ago he picked out the "secret ingredient" from some cinnamon sugar muffins - nutmeg

and then today at dinner we noticed there was something wrong with the gravy, we were talking through it and Jared out of no where says it tastes like syrup. Keep in mind we were eating turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy. AMAZING. Jared had no idea that the recipe I used for the turkey called for 2 tbs maple syrup. I used the drippings from the meat and voila that is why the gravy tasted off (it was too sweet, not enough salty) - syrup AMAZING...

And then there's Lila, who is my dream child and slept from 8pm-7am last night...ahh...I think I woke up in the same position I went to sleep in...

Because you asked for it

Recent Haps

Not a lot going on here. Lila will be two months tomorrow, sigh, it goes so fast. She is smiling and talking a ton. Although, her smile is more like a pleasant look about her face. I also have to brag because who knows if it will happen again. Lila went to sleep at 9:30 last night and didn't wake until 7:00 :) happy mommy:)

This is the closest pic I've got of her smiling. You can see her dimple

See what I mean? Just pleasant, happy to be here...

How cute is this..I caught Scarlett watching her video holding Lila's hand

Today it was 100 degrees so Monique graciously hosted us for a swim party. Scarlett had so much fun. She told our neighbor all about it in the elevator on the way up to our house. "Swimming, D's house, sucker, swimming, water..."

Pray for rain, it's hot here!!

Sleeper

Lila is my little sleeper. She's doing great at night! I put her down between 8-9 and she wakes once at 3:45 (it's like clock work) and then again at 7:45. She doesn't require swaddling or rocking. I just lay her down and she puts her self to sleep. Much different than Scarlett who woke every 2 hours, needed swaddling, and wanted to be rocked to sleep.

Ah, to be this relaxed...

POST EDIT:

Lila slept from 9-6 last night, ah... if only I can get Scarlett sleeping through the night again I will be a very happy mommy!
