Trek for Treats

On Friday a small group of us got together and went trick or treating to each others homes (convenient that we all live about 5 blocks from each other).

Ballerina, Fairy, Kitty Cat

Scarlett decided she wanted to be a ballerina, fairy, kitty cat for her school party, we just went with it...

Brown Bear, Brown Bear

A couple weeks ago we took the train up to a small village north of Budapest that has a Bear Farm. Most of the bears are old circus bears that could never survive on their own. The main draw of the farm is that they let you feed the bears honey from long wooden spoons through the chain linked fence. It was quite amusing. Unfortunately the bears were sick of the honey that you can buy there so they weren't too excited when we tried to feed them that. They did however appreciate the apple slices and bio balls that I brought along just in case.

Pumpkin Carving

It's always fun to introduce some of our traditions to our International friends. This time we invited to Parks over to carve some pumpkins. They had seen it done in movies but never experienced for themselves. We had a blast doing it together. We topped the evening off with Pumpkin pie, Apple pie and an Ice cream cake from Daubner.
