Day Trip to Vienna

Saturday we took a train to Vienna with some friends from Budapest for the day. We wanted to check out the "world renowned" Christmas markets. To be honest we were a little disappointed. The market in Budapest is far superior. Regardless we spent to day battling the frigid weather and hopped from market to market. Here is the market in front of City Hall.

One of the markets was in front of the famous Schonbrunn Palace. Jared and I took a quick tour of the inside to warm our bones and learn about it, in that order (at least for me).

We now have two pictures of us together...Schonbrunn Palace, Vienna

Christmas Market

On Saturday Jared & I went to a really cool Christmas market. There were tons of vendors with handcrafted items. I was in heaven. The square was all decorated in lights. It brought in the Christmas spirit.

Jared decided the day wasn't complete without a traditional Hungarian Kolbasz (sausage)...yuck

It's A ???

We had our ultrasound today to determine the sex of the baby. We were able to see everything...the heart, nose, kidneys, legs, toes, hands, fingers, spine...everything except what we really wanted to see. Our kid refused to open it's legs. The doctor tried to get a view from the backside, we were able to get a view of the bum and saw nothing poking out from that angle but the doctor says it's too difficult to tell because we were unable to see vulva either. I had a dream last night that we were having the ultrasound and we got to the area between the legs and there was nothing poking out and Jared & I were confused. We both said "shouldn't it be sticking out more?" And the doctor said yes, if it was a boy but it's a girl...was this a prophecy? Unfortunetly we will not know for awhile. It's too bad that our child is already starting to disobey me. I asked it one simple thing, please cooperate today (after what it's put me through the last couple of months, I thought a resonable request). Obviously not, I guess we know who's in control here!
