Fun with Ryan and Leanne

My brother Ryan and his wife Leanne came to visit us this week. They dropped their kids off at Grammy Ice Cream Cones and headed out for their first European vacation. We've been staying super busy trying to pack in all that we can. Here's a little bit of what we've been up to. Now Ryan and Leanne are off to Prague for a little getaway and I'm trying to organize before our trip to the USA on Sunday

Sziget Festival

Last night was the first night of Sziget Festival. A week long music festival that takes place on an island just north of Budapest. I went to see Alanis Morisset while Jared stayed home with Scarlett. My friend Hilary joined me with her six week old. Alanis played a lot of her old stuff which made me happy because who really wants to hear her new stuff?! Memories of High School came rushing back as she played "You Oughta Know" "Hand in my Pocket" "You Learn" and "Head over Feet"



We also have tickets to see REM and The Killers, can't wait!!

Nap Time

Sundays are always tricky because church is at 1:00 (right during nap time). I always try to put Scarlett down a little early so she can at least get 45min in before I have to wake her to go to church.

So at 11:30 this morning I asked Scarlett if she wanted to go nigh-night. She said no and kept playing. Trying not to push it I let her play for a bit before I asked her again (this time 11:50) if she wanted to go nigh-night, she said Yes! Did my child actually just say she wanted to take a nap?

She leaned over gave Jared a kiss came to me to pick her up and I put her down for nap, as easy as that!
