First day of school

When I brought Scarlett to school her teacher asked me to hang around to make sure she was alright with the whole transition. They said sometimes it takes a week to a month for the child to be ok with mommy/daddy leaving so I need to make myself available. Within the first hour Scarlett comes up to me and says, "Mommy what are you still doing here?" Scarlett knew exactly what she was getting herself into. I keep trying to tell the teacher that she wants to be there, this is her choice. They are amazed at how happy and friendly she is, that's my girl!

I feel a little guilty that I'm not sad about the whole thing. I'm happy for Scarlett, I know she is getting more attention and activity at school than she is at home. She gets to learn a whole new language, interact with kids from around the world and become more independent than she already is. It makes my time with her more meaningful because I know we have less time together so I want to soak up the time we have.

It just amazes me how much she is growing.

We like to train them young, plus the only pictures I have from Sammy's visit :)
