Scarlett was a good girl this year because St Mikulas filled her shoes with candy.
All over Europe on December 5th kids put out their shoes to find them filled with candy and fruit the next morning. If the kids have been bad they find onions, sticks, or coal.
We do that every year too...although, ours is called Sinterklaas and Swarte Pete (i think I spelled that correctly) and we put out wooden shoes! So, fun...your family is darling!

What a fun tradition. Do you think there are kids that actually get onions? That would be harsh.

Im' troubled....what if one's shoes smell, doesn't that effect the tast of the candy?
