In Hungary on the night of December 5th St. Mikulas comes and brings treats to all the kids who were good that year. The kids put out their shoes and in the morning they are filled with candy. This is their version of Santa. On Christmas Eve Jesus brings gifts (there is no exchanging of gifts between family members). And then on Christmas and the day after you are suppose to go around and visit all your family. It's kind of nice that they separate Santa and Jesus but I'm still trying to figure out why Jesus would bring
us gifts.
Jared's work had a party for all the employees kids on Friday. St. Mikulas came and brought a gift for each kid. Scarlett was so excited to receive a gift but a little unsure of St. Mikulas himself.

Sporting her new gift. What kid doesn't want a pink unicorn backpack?

Loved the pigtails! Can't wait to see Kelli and Scarlett on Wednesday.
It's fun hearing about Christmas tradition in another country.
How can I get one of those pink unicorn backpacks for Margaux? Those are her 2 favorite things right now (of course, besides The Little Mermaid).
just saw this, talk about the fakest beard ever. do hungarian kids just over look that? Even Salter's beard looks more than real than St. Mikulas's. P.S. Salter as expected a very sexy beard.
