Romania

Jared & I rented a car and spent the weekend traveling through Romania. Poor Jared spent an average of 10 hours driving each day, on very poor roads, but we were able to see a lot and had an enjoyable time.

Medieval square Sibiu, Romania

Gypsies at a flea market

Countryside

How some people get to their homes

Romanian haystacks

Painted monastery Voronet, Romania

In one day we drove through a climate change of about 40 degrees

Romanian village

"Merry Cemetery" Tombstones depicting the persons occupation, life, or family problems. We think this girl got hit by a car when she died.

Beautiful carved, woodened gates

When we got back to our car this little girl was waiting with little flowers she had picked for Jared. Barsana, Romania

Jared getting artsy

Sheperd with his flock, there were lots of little baby lambs

Gorgeous pictures, Kel!!

A travel guide book we ordered arrived today. I spent Ethan's nap time looking through it, wondering how we are ever going to see everything we want in 10 short days. We are so excited to come!

Kelli:

First off Happy Birthday tomorrow. Second, what amazing photos. Speaking of travel guides, your photos look like travel guide photos. You guys will look back at this time in your life with very fond memories. I'm jealous. We miss seeing you guys more frequently, but the photos keep us informed and we feel more in touch. We'll try and call you tomorrow for your B day. Love, Ryan
